Capital Hilton | Washington, DC

Washington, D.C. – Next week, Democratic Presidential candidates, former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, will address the nation’s mayors during the U.S Conference of Mayors’ (USCM) 88th Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Bloomberg will speak on Wednesday, January 22nd at 3:45 pm ET and Mr. Buttigieg will speak on Thursday, January 23rd at 11:15 am ET (press to be in place by 10:30 am ET).  The Meeting, which will be held at the Capital Hilton from January 22 – 24, will bring together more than 270 bipartisan mayors from across the country to discuss the state of cities and their national priorities.

With more than 85 percent of Americans living in U.S. metropolitan areas, mayors are on the frontlines of today’s challenges and have consistently called on Washington to draw on mayoral expertise. During the Meeting, the bipartisan group will hold sessions on a range of issues, including gun violence prevention, climate change, immigration, youth engagement, affordable housing, the 2020 Census, economic mobility, and infrastructure.

A draft agenda and list of pre-registered mayors are available here. Members of the media are encouraged to register in advance. All business/day-time sessions are open to the press unless otherwise indicated. All evening events are closed to the press. On-site registration will be available with current press credentials.
