About the 88th Winter Meeting

The United States Conference of Mayors’ 88th Winter Meeting took place January 22-24, 2020 in Washington, DC. It was presided over by Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett.


Wednesday, January 22

Our celebration of the Conference of Mayors featuring mayors sharing the best ways to maximize your time at the 88th Winter Meeting.

Wednesday Afternoon Plenary session featuring Democratic Presidential Candidate Mike Bloomberg and our Women Mayors’ Leadership Alliance session featuring a discussion voter registration.

Thursday, January 23

Our Mayors and Business Leaders Breakfast featuring a conversation on combatting human trafficking.

Thursday Morning Plenary featuring Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and Democratic Presidential Candidate Pete Buttigieg.

Our Childhood Obesity Awards, plus remarks by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and an update on our Play Ball partnership with Major League Baseball.

Friday, January 24

Our Leadership in the Arts breakfast feating our arts awards presentation and an introduction to Esports.

Discussion on the lessons learned from mass shootings in America.

Closing plenary featuring our Youth Involvement Task Force and DollarWise awards.
