Gathering comes as country kicks off pivotal midterm election year, America250 celebrations
January 28-30, 2026 | Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. – This January, mayors from every corner of the country will gather in Washington, D.C. to share local wins and chart the next chapter of America’s story at the 94th Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM). The meeting will run from January 28 through January 30 and will be presided over by USCM President David Holt, Mayor of Oklahoma City. More than 250 bipartisan mayors are set to take part.
As bulwarks of democracy and engines of growth, cities are charting a way forward, and during the meeting mayors will discuss how practical, bipartisan problem solving can bridge the political divide and elevate solutions that work. They’ll highlight the most promising answers to the urgent challenges facing Americans today, including the affordability and housing crisis, public safety, economic uncertainty, immigration, and fights over local control.
