Washington, D.C. – Today at 11:45 AM, the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) will hold a press conference during its 92nd Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C., where a bipartisan group of more than 300 mayors from across the country will convene to discuss the most pressing issues facing cities and the nation. The press conference, at the Capital Hilton in downtown Washington, will feature USCM President Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, First Vice President Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther, Second Vice President Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, as well as numerous other mayors.

At 3:25 pm today, Wednesday, January 17, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Chair of USCM’s Task Force on Homelessness, will hold a press conference to raise awareness for the National Point-in-Time Count happening next week across the country. The press conference will directly follow a meeting with members of the USCM Homelessness Task Force as mayors across the country continue to establish a path forward on national policy and advocacy and harness their power across the nation to further collaborate on federal legislative, regulatory and budgetary action. The meeting will build on work done last November when Los Angeles hosted a national convening on homelessness with the U.S. Conference of Mayors that raised momentum on this issue by building on a national strategy to combat homelessness. The press conference will be held at the Capital Hilton in the New York room.

For planning purposes, a draft agenda can be found here. A list of pre-registered mayors can be found here. Members of the media are encouraged to register in advance here. All business/day-time sessions are open to the press unless otherwise indicated, and all evening events are closed to the press.
