Washington, DC—Today, a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) met virtually with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo for a discussion on international affairs, economic development, the 2020 Census, the importance of small businesses, tourism, the value of commercial fishing and President Biden’s American Jobs Plan. Mayors shared how each of these issues impacts their cities and explained their economic priorities in the near- and long-term. Mayors thanked Secretary Raimondo for her leadership and work to drive America’s economic recovery, and participants reaffirmed their commitment to an ongoing dialogue on these topics.
