Nation’s Mayors Continue to Insist on a Full Count in 2020

Washington, D.C.— On Monday, October 19th, the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) will hold a virtual conversation at 12:00 p.m. ET to discuss how ending the census early could impact local communities. Earlier this week the Supreme Court halted a district court order that required the Census Bureau to continue counting residents through October 31. The webinar will be led by a panel of bipartisan mayors who will be joined by National Urban League President and CEO Marc Morial. The USCM has condemned the administration’s effort to cut short the census process and, following the recent Supreme Court ruling on the subject, has made clear it will continue to fight for a full count.
