Washington, DC—TODAY, October 3, 2017 at 4 pm ET, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and leaders of the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) will join Dreamer Denisse Rojas Marquez for a press call urging the Department of Homeland Security to extend the deadline to allow DACA recipients to renew their status.  Despite previous pressure, the Department of Homeland Security has refused to extend the October 5, 2017 deadline for DACA recipients, a program that currently protects nearly 800,000 undocumented immigrants.  Speakers will also urge quick passage of the bipartisan Dream Act.
