Friday, June 8 – Monday, June 11, 2018 | Marriott Copley Place

Washington, D.C. – Starting on June 8, more than 250 of the nation’s mayors will meet in Boston for the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) Annual Meeting.  Under the leadership of USCM President Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin and host Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, mayors will discuss a wide variety of priorities that contribute to the overall health of America’s cities, as well as consider and adopt the policy resolutions that guide the advocacy agenda of the organization.  The Meeting, which will be held at the Marriott Copley Place, will run through Monday, June 11, 2018.

An opening press conference is scheduled for Friday, June 8 at 10:30 am ET.

With more than 85 percent of Americans living in U.S. metropolitan areas, mayors are on the frontlines of today’s challenges and have consistently called on Washington to draw on mayoral expertise. During the Meeting, mayors from both sides of the aisle, from cities rural, urban and suburban, will hold sessions on a range of issues, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, school safety, immigration, automation and the economic future of cities.

A draft agenda and list of pre-registered mayors are available here. Members of the media are encouraged to register in advance. See this link.  All business/day-time sessions are open to the press unless otherwise indicated.  All evening events are closed to the press. On-site registration will be available with current press credentials.
