Transportation and Infrastructure
In 2021, President Joe Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), a once-in-a-generation, $1.2 trillion investment in our nation’s infrastructure and competitiveness. The law will help rebuild America’s roads, bridges and rails, expand access to clean drinking water, ensure every American has access to high-speed internet, tackle the climate crisis, advance environmental justice, and invest in communities that have too often been left behind. America’s mayors are at the forefront of this work to strengthen and rebuild the nation’s cities.
The Transportation Standing Committee, chaired by Edina Mayor Jim Hovland, leads the Conference’s advocacy work related to transportation policy and programs.
