Implementation Best Practices

Mayors have been invited to share information on their cities’ approaches to the kinds of sound community policing policies and practices that are reflected in the recommendations of the President’s Task Force. The exchange of best practices among cities is acknowledged to be an important aid in the implementation of Task Force recommendations. The reports that follow summarize efforts underway in a number of cities; each identifies a person to be contacted for more detailed information.

The invitation to share best practices on this page is open to all mayors. Descriptions of best practices should be submitted to [email protected].
