Washington, D.C. – On Friday, October 30th, the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) and Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) will hold a joint meeting at 3:00 PM ET on security issues relating to the November 3 election. Mayors and police chiefs will discuss their concerns and strategies for maximizing public safety, as well as how to address voter intimidation, potential violence, and other election-related concerns.
The meeting will be led by Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo. The Conference has been providing mayors and other city officials resources to prepare for election day and how to respond to any potential security concerns.
