Frisco, TX | April 6-8, 2017

Washington, D.C. – Under the leadership of U.S. Conference of Mayors President Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett and host Frisco Mayor Maher Maso, the Mayors Professional Sports Alliance will host a meeting in Frisco, Texas from April 6-8 to highlight the city’s successful efforts to position itself as the #1 sports capital in the nation.

With the vision of the city’s elected officials and staff, the city that was once primarily farm land, has now been transformed into a sports capital with representation from all major-league sports: NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB and MLS.

In addition to presentations from leaders of major league teams including owners and executives from Major League Soccer, the Dallas Cowboys, and New York University, meeting attendees interested in helping their community to become a ‘sports city’ will hear panel discussions about how the City of Frisco envisioned and executed its goal.

The meeting is CLOSED to press coverage, but participants are available for interview by contacting Jocelyn Bogen at jbogen@usmayors.org.
