Washington, D.C. – On behalf of The U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM), Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed will testify before the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit hearing on Tuesday, April 4th at 10 a.m. ET during a hearing titled ‘Fixing America’s Surface Transportation’ (FAST) Act Implementation:  State and Local Perspectives.’

Mayor Reed, who Chairs the Conference’s Transportation and Communications Committee, will emphasize that mayors and other representatives of local governments invest in, own and manage most of the nation’s surface transportation infrastructure, and investing in local infrastructure is vital to the nation’s economic growth.
