Nationwide Retirement Solutions recently announced the launch of a series of innovative eWorkshops for program participants. These educational sessions will be held online and will cover a variety of financial issues related to retirement savings. Because the workshops are offered over the internet, public employees are afforded the opportunity to take advantage of these educational sessions at their own pace and according to their own schedules.

The goal of this new initiative is to educate public employees about the products and services that are offered though their employer's deferred compensation plan. The eWorkshops offer hands'on learning that aims to assist employees in understanding and applying various financial concepts to their retirement savings. There are currently nine workshops available. The eWorkshops fit within Nationwide's "Join It, Learn It, Live It" approach, and workshops are available to fit in all three aspects of this philosophy. The "Join It" phase covers why it is important to save for retirement, while the "Learn It" phase teaches those enrolled in the NRS deferred compensation program how to best utilize the program and take the most advantage of opportunities to save. Finally, the "Live It" phase teaches how to best manage an individual's stream of income during retirement years.
