The Organization for New Equality (ONE) honored Conference President Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino with its medal of hope for his dedication to equal opportunity housing and education reform. The medal is awarded each year to a civic leader who has set an example of service, made significant contributions to the community, and inspired others to pursue public service. Mayor Menino was recognized not only for his service to the people of Boston, but also for his dedication to the issues of economic equality and opportunity in America as Conference President.

Mayor Menino will receive the ONE Award at the 10th Annual Medal of Hope diner November 20 in Boston.
