The Conference of Mayors Executive Director J. Thomas Cochran presents the CUSP Lead-Safe...for Kids' Sake grant award of $200,000 to Mayor Martin O'Malley and the City of Baltimore for their outstanding lead safety initiative to fund lead-dust testing kits for every pregnant woman in the city of Baltimore upon her first prenatal doctor visit. Baltimore received the highest award of the $500,000 grant provided by DuPont. Three other cities received $100,000 each.
