Letter to the Vice President on Crime Funding Priorities

Several mayors and police chiefs met with Vice President Joseph R. Biden at the conclusion of the August 24 White House meeting. During that meeting, the Vice President asked them to identify their top three funding priorities relating to crime and gangs. The mayors who attended the meeting and the Conference’s working group of mayors and police chiefs held a conference call September 1 to identify the top three priorities. Following is the letter sent to the Vice President in response to his request:
