September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month!
September 11, 2006
For the 7th consecutive year, mayors across the country are proclaiming September as National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month (NPCAM), a national observance started by The United States Conference of Mayors.
NPCAM is an activity of the Mayors’ Coalition for Prostate Cancer Awareness and Education, also initiated by the Conference of Mayors in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Earlier in the summer, mayors received NPCAM promotional packets from the Conference of Mayors. If you would like further information about activities and materials for NPCAM or the Mayors’ Coalition for Prostate Cancer Awareness and Education, please contact Assistant Executive Director Crystal Swann by phone at 202-293-7330 or send e-mail to cswann@usmayors.org.
