Palmer Leads Effort Taking 10-Point Plan to State Caucuses in Denver
August 25, 2008
Former Conference President Trenton (NJ) Mayor Douglas H. Palmer has been asked by Conference President Miami Mayor Manny Diaz to head up a major messaging effort towards the state delegation caucus breakfasts in Denver. Palmer has been asked to appear before several state caucuses and he will take The Conference of Mayors 10-Point Plan message to the delegates, backed up by Conference staff and USCM promotional materials.
Palmer has asked key mayors in their state caucus to request podium time at the Convention for promotional efforts in support of the mayors’ 10-Point Plan.
Hundreds of mayors are key players with their individual state delegations. Palmer commends the Democratic National Convention for allowing mayors to address the national convention and believes while those mayors are hitting the airwaves, we must also have a ground operation that will take our message directly to the leadership and delegates of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
