The USMayorTime with Tom Cochran on Blogtalkradio.com has had four great shows this month. In case you missed them, here are some of the highlights of the shows:
- July 2 Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman talked about leisure and business travel, described how travelling to places like Las Vegas was challenged earlier this year by the Obama Administration, and gave an exclusive on his plans for running for Governor of Nevada.
- July 10 National Urban League President and CEO Marc Morial, USCM Past President and former New Orleans mayor, discussed the state of Black Americans, noted how well the economic stimulus program is working in urban America, and gave some highlights to look forward to during the upcoming 100th Anniversary and the 2009 National Urban League Conference later this month in Chicago.
- July 15 Governor Martin O'Malley, former mayor of Baltimore, discussed how well the ARRA stimulus funds are flowing from the states to cities, differences in the role of mayor vs. governor, and the challenges of governors in this economic climate.
- July 21 Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker discussed how Salt Lake City is using alternative forms of transportation to address climate change, the special relationship with the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and how hosting the Olympics encouraged infrastructurea development.
