Conference President Akron Mayor Donald L. Plusquellic recently joined the National League of Cities (NLC) for a roundtable to discuss workforce and education. The roundtable, entitled "Jobs and the American dream: Eliminating Disparities in Education for Employment", was held July 12 on the east campus of Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida.

Other participants included Charlie Lyons, President of National League of Cities, Washington (DC) Mayor Anthony Williams, First Vice Chair of NLC, and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.
