Two new U.S. Conference of Mayors videos premiered at the Miami Annual Meeting.

"Welcome to Miami" featured the "agile and mobile" team of Conference President Trenton Mayor Douglas H. Palmer and Conference CEO and Executive Director Tom Cochran, along with host Miami Mayor Manny Diaz. This video was shown at the opening plenary session and was intended to give the mayors an overview about Miami and the events planned for them. The story was told by inserting Palmer, Diaz and Cochran into scenes from television and films shot in and about Miami.

The "Palmer Presidency" video was a tribute to Palmer, the 65th President of the Conference of Mayors. The film highlighted the "Mayors Ten-Point Plan;" the mayors’ participation in the presidential election forums in Iowa and New Hampshire; the passage of the Energy Block Grant legislation by Congress; the Climate Protection Summit in Seattle; the mayors’ involvement in the mortgage crisis and prisoner reentry issues; and Palmer’s leadership during the Iraqi resolution debate at the 75th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles.
