Under the leadership of Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, the Republican Mayors and Local Officials (RMLO) met on June 21 and were briefed by Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart (FL) on behalf of the McCain presidential campaign. The Congressman discussed the Senator’s experience and its relevance in being prepared from day one to lead and defend the United States and its global allies as Commander-in-Chief. He also discussed the Senator’s economic plan and vision for the country. According to Diaz-Balart, McCain is a common sense conservative who believes in a strong national defense, a smaller, more accountable government, economic growth and opportunity, the dignity of life and traditional values, the Congressman said.

The Congressman also discussed the importance of mayors and their leadership throughout the country.
