A video tribute to the 61st President of the Conference of Mayors, Hempstead (NY) Mayor James A. Garner was shown Garner's presidential address. Click here to view the video.

"America's Mayor — James A. Garner, The 61st President" highlighted Garner's work to secure funding for homeland security and to promote the Conference of Mayors worldwide. Highlights included the mayor's interchange with President Bush over the flow of homeland security funds to cities, the announcement of two homeland security reports, and his work with the Congressional leadership. On the international side, the video tribute highlighted his leadership of the largest Conference delegation to Africa, his visit with the Holy Father Pope John Paul and his participation in global municipal conferences in Rome and Israel.

The video was hosted by Conference Executive Director Tom Cochran and was sponsored by Nationwide Retirement Solutions.
