The Conference is pleased to announce that Jane C. Driskell, Chief Financial Officer of Louville Metro, has been appointed to a two-year term as the U.S. Conference of Mayors Representative on the Government Accounting Standards Advisory Council (GASAC). The council is responsible for consulting and providing advice on technical matters to members of the Government Accounting Standards Board, which serves to establish and improve standards for state and local accounting and financial reporting. GASAC is comprised of 29 members who represent various state and local government organizations.
