Resolution # 1: Increasing International Travel to the United States Through Visa Reforms, Entry Improvements and Promotion urges the implementation of common-sense visa policy reforms, to improve America’s welcome at U.S. ports-of-entry, and to initiate a promotion campaign to increase international travel to the United States.

Resolution #2: Implementation of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative urges the Departments of State and Homeland Security to executive a coordinated public-private outreach campaign to travelers before implementing the program at land and sea ports-of-entry.

Resolution #3: Urging the Bush Administration to Enter Into a Bilateral Agreement to Expand Leisure Group Travel From China to the United States encourages the streamlining of the visa application process to allow for greater Chinese group leisure travelers to the United States.

Resolution #4: Economic Impact Study of the Nonprofit Arts and Culture Industry urges cities to invest in nonprofit arts organizations as a catalyst to generate economic impact, stimulate business development and improve the overall quality of life in America’s cities.

Resolution #5: Future of Private Sector Giving to the Arts in America urges mayors to consider adopting arts policies in their communities that would stimulate greater private giving to the arts and arts education programs.

Resolution #6: National Arts and Humanities Month to proclaim, participate in, and celebrate October 2007 as National Arts and Humanities Month.

Resolution #7: Federal Funding for the Arts, Humanities and Museums reaffirms the Conference of Mayors support for the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, and Office of Museum Services and calls for their full funding.

Resolution #8: Support for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting urges Congress to appropriate full funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Resolution #9: Supporting Issuance of Postal Stamp in Honor of Mayor Tom Bradley urges the U.S. Postal Service to issue a commemorative stamp in honor of this former Los Angeles mayor who served his city and the nation.

Resolution #10: The Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Program calls for Congress to restore funding for these two programs that have provided assistance to cities for their parks and recreation needs.

Resolution #11: Combating the Emerald Ash Borer in Our Nation’s Cities calls upon Congress to provide cities with assistance in dealing the removal and replacement of diseased trees; and to work with cities to increase public awareness programs on emerald ash borer infestation.

Resolution #13: Supporting Comprehensive Plan to Combat Global Piracy and Counterfeiting of Goods calls on Congress to combat the crisis of domestic and international piracy and counterfeiting of goods; and calls on Congress and state governments to enact legislation which strengthens penalties and makes it easier to convict individuals who commit intellectual property crimes.
