Resolution #78: Support for the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement urges speedy negotiation and passage of this trade agreement.

Resolution #79: Support for Continuing International Mayoral Cooperation recognizes the importance of building international relationships among mayors and commends all mayors’ efforts to strengthen these ties.

Resolution #80: Support for Measures to Address World Food Shortages calls attention to the global food emergency and calls upon the U.S. government, governments of all wealthy countries, and international development agencies to increase financial aid, restore support for the global food research network, work together in a coordinated way, and undertake other efforts to address this crisis.

Resolution #81: Support for the Elimination of All Nuclear Weapons by the Year 2020 urges various steps, including support for the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Protocol, to bring about nuclear disarmament and elimination of nuclear weapons by 2020.

Resolution #82: Opposing Military Intervention in Iran urges the Administration to pursue diplomatic engagement with Iran on nuclear issues and ways to end the violence in Iraq, and, further, urges Congress to prohibit funds for any military action against Iran without explicit Congressional authorization.

Resolution #46: Supporting Legislation Requiring Donations of Surplus Fire Equipment and Material to Volunteer Fire Departments within the United States calls for legislation to require that surplus fire equipment and material from local, state, and federal governments, which has been purchased with public funds, be donated to volunteer fire departments in the U.S.
