Upcoming Forum: The Great American City: Fueling Progress and Prosperity
June 13, 2011
Join us for a special forum that will highlight how leaders from
across the nation are utilizing this important domestic resource.
Learn how natural gas fleets are helping to strengthen their
communities through economic development and energy innovation,
specifically through the utilization of natural gas vehicles.
Over the past few years, advances in technology have allowed us to
discover and develop vast supplies of natural gas in shale plays
across the United States – in volumes that can fuel our country for
generations to come. Countless opportunities for communities
nationwide have been made possible thanks to this abundant resource.
This domestic resource is helping America reduce its dependence on
foreign sources of energy from geopolitically unstable regions of the
world and paving the way for a cleaner – and more secure – energy
future for our country, cities and towns.
This forum will be moderated by Conference of Mayors Energy Committee Chair Santa Ana (CA) Mayor Miguel A. Pulido. Panelists are Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard, North Little Rock Mayor Patrick Henry Hays, and America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) – American Gas Association (AGA) Transportation Collaborative Executive Director Dr. Kathryn Clay.
