Resolution #1: Urban and Community Forestry Program calls upon Congress to recognize the importance that the USDA-Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Program provides to local governments and community-based organizations and urges its support at no less than $36 million.

Resolution #2: Community Trees urges mayors to recognize and celebrate the essential roles of trees in cities, to support community forestry programs, and to partner with businesses and non-profit organizations to conserve and maintain healthy community forests.

Resolution #3: A New National Agenda for Urban Parks recognizes the invaluable role of urban parks to the nation’s communities and endorses a new “National Agenda for Urban Parks and Recreation” based upon the importance that urban parks play in promoting health and wellness, economic activity, protecting the environment, and enriching young people.

Resolution #4: National Arts and Humanities Month designates October 2006 as arts and humanities month and calls upon mayors to build partnerships with local arts agencies.

Resolution #5: Federal Funding for the Arts, Humanities and Museums reaffirms support for the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services and calls upon Congress to increase funding for these cultural agencies.

Resolution #6: Encouraging Reading by City Residents commends the National Endowment for the Arts “Big Read” program and encourages mayors to implement and participate in local reading programs.

Resolution #7: Public Awareness Campaign for Arts Education endorses the "Art. Ask for More” public awareness campaign and encourages mayors and local arts agencies to participate in the campaign at the local level.

Resolution #8: Promoting International Travel to the United States calls upon Congress to provide funding to create a substantial and sustained international destination marketing campaign to promote America’s cities.

Resolution #9: Facilitating Cross-Border Travel Within the Western Hemisphere urges Congress and the Administration to extend the deadline for implementation of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative and seek bilateral solutions that enhance the border security and ensure the continued free-flow of travelers and trade with Western Hemisphere countries.

Resolution # 10: Presidential Advisory Council on Travel and Tourism urges the Administration to create a Presidential Advisory Council on Travel and Tourism that will include both public and private sector leaders to advise the President on matters relating to the U.S. travel industry.
