Conference of Mayors Membership Committee Chair Burnsville (MN) Mayor Elizabeth Kautz will lead a discussion at the Membership Standing Committee meeting on Friday, June 2 at 4:00 p.m., on the organization’s membership programs, including its very successful “One Member – One Mayor” recruitment campaign, which was launched last September.

In addition, members will discuss performance-based budgeting as a management tool used to implement comprehensive Performance Management within government agencies. While traditional methods of budgeting in the public sector have focused on expenditures, performance-based budgeting is focused on outcomes. This session will lay out the differences between traditional budgets and methods used in performance-based budgeting and participants will acquire a powerful tool to manage and measure performance and create maximum value for citizens.
