Nationwiden Retirement Solutions (NRS) recently named Cain Hayes as Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer for NRS. In this role, Hayes is responsible for all aspects of national sales and client relationship management for Nationwide's 457 retirement plan business.

“As a retirement plan administrator, the more we can do to give your employees the resources and information they need to make prudent financial decisions today, the more confident they can feel about their financial picture tomorrow,” Hayes said. “That's why I'm personally committed to fostering our relationship with the U.S. Conference of Mayors and helping Nationwide work harder for the people we serve.”

Previously, Hayes served as Vice President and Managing Director of Bundled Retirement Plans at NRS, where he had managed the sales and all day-to-day operations of the business unit. Prior to NRS, Hayes spent 17 years with Principal Financial Group, holding different leadership positions at the regional and national level within its retirement plans sales organization.

In regard to the relationship between NRS and the Conference of Mayors, Hayes stated, “We value the spirit of collaboration we've developed with the Conference of Mayors in recent years to promote greater awareness among city workers of the importance of saving for retirement. We welcome the opportunity to work with the Conference of Mayors leadership as we continue to promote the virtues of saving for retirement and the value of planning for the future.”

For more than 30 years, the United States Conference of Mayors has worked with NRS to offer the USCM Deferred Compensation Program, a way for city employees to supplement their retirement savings.
