ENERGY STAR Presentation
May 7, 2007
Government agencies spend over $10 billion a year on energy to provide public services and meet constituent needs — while grappling with tightening budgets. Yet nearly one-third of the energy used to run typical government buildings goes to waste.
Learn more about what local governments are doing to increase energy efficiency through ENERGY STAR using energy management best practices during a 90-minute Internet presentation on Tuesday, May 15th at 2:00 PM EST.
Participants will learn about:
- New features of EPA’s Portfolio Manager, including percent energy reduction, master accounts, water tracking, and the ability to measure and track energy use, cost, and associated carbon emissions for all building types.
- Best management practices that the City of Fort Wayne, IN, is implementing to track energy use in all city buildings.
- The ENERGY STAR Challenge for Local Governments.
There is no charge to participate, and all you need to join us is a high-speed Internet connection and a telephone line to interact with speakers and other participants.
