Mayor Diaz Presented 2009 Keystone Award in Miami

On April 16 at a local ceremony in Miami, U.S. Conference of Mayors President Miami Mayor Manny Diaz was presented the 2009 Keystone Award. The award was presented to Mayor Diaz in a national ceremony on February 6 at the American Architectural Foundation’s Annual Accent on Architecture held in Washington, DC (See February 23 edition of USMayor). The Keystone Award is the highest honor that can be presented to a non-architect by the American Architectural Foundation. Participating in the event and shown in photo to the right are: Ron Bogle, President and CEO of the American Architectural Foundation; Conference President Miami Mayor Diaz; Tom Cochran, USCM CEO and Executive Director; and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, Dean of the University of Miami School of Architecture and founding principal of Duany Plater-Zyberk and Company.
