In response to the enthusiasm shown by mayors for the third competition of The United States Conference of Mayors and DuPont Lead-Safe...For Kids' Sake Grant Program, the deadline of April 23 has been extended to FRIDAY, MAY 7.
All cities that apply to the 2004 $500,000 Lead-Safe...For Kids' Sake Grant Program will automatically have their application entered into the next round of the USCM-DuPont Spotlight on Excellence Awards Program this Summer. The rollover of applications to the USCM-DuPont Spotlight on Excellence Awards program allows cities to have an even greater chance at valuable Lead-Safety grant funds for their cities.
To apply for the 2004 Lead-Safe...For Kids' Sake Grant Program, cities are asked to submit a 750-word executive summary outlining innovative proposals to create a Lead-Safety environment in their community. Cities are encouraged to log on to www.cusponline.org to view past winning entries of the Lead-Safe...For Kids' Sake Grant Program and for the official grant application.
Three cities will be chosen as winners one $300,000 award winner and two $100,000 award winners. Awards will be presented at The U.S. Conference of Mayor's 72nd Annual Meeting in Boston (MA) this June 2004.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to bring valuable Lead-Safety grant funds to your city.
