Conference President Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino appointed on March 31, a 15-member nominating committee responsible for nominating eleven individuals: one Trustee and ten Advisory Board members to serve in the leadership of the Conference of Mayors. The Committee will meet in Denver at the 71st Annual Meeting on Saturday, June 7, 2003.

Conference Trustee and Trenton Mayor Douglas A. Palmer will chair the committee. Other members include Louisville-Metro Mayor Jerry Abramson; Knoxville Mayor Victor Ashe; Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley; Charleston, (SC) Mayor Joseph Riley; Denver Mayor Wellington E. Webb; Elizabeth (NJ) Mayor J. Christian Bollwage; Burlington Mayor Peter A. Clavelle; Rome (NY) Mayor Joseph A. Griffo; Dearborn (MI) Mayor Michael A. Guido; Arlington Heights (IL) Mayor Arlene J. Mulder; Virginia Beach Mayor Meyera Oberndorf; San Bernardino (CA) Mayor Judith Valles; Augusta (GA) Mayor Bob Young; and San Leandro Mayor Shelia Young.
