The Annie E. Casey Foundation will again sponsor the Mayors and Working Families Meeting this year on May 2-3 in Washington (DC). As part of the partnership between the United States Conference of Mayors and the Annie E. Casey Foundation, mayors will join with the City Human Services Officials to hear different best practices on how mayors are meeting the needs of working families.

We are also delighted that Isabel V. Sawhill, Vice President and Director of Economic Studies at The Brookings Institution will join us at lunch to share her concerns about the current budget situation and its impact on social programs, especially those impacting working families. Sawhill was Associate Director of the Office of Management and Budget from 1993 - 1995.

Mayors and City Human Services Officials will also hear from experts on financial literacy, TANF Reauthorization, the Tick-to-Work program and other relevant issues.
