President George W. Bush has named Office of Management and Budget head Joshua B. Bolten to succeed White House chief of staff Andrew H. Card following Card’s resignation.

Before going to OMB, Bolten was deputy White House chief of staff for policy and policy director of Bush’s 2000 campaign.

Bolten attended the Conference of Mayors 2001 Key West Winter Leadership meeting as President Bush’s representative and also addressed the Conference of Mayors Advisory Board dinner at the 2002 Annual Winter Meeting in Washington (DC).

Bolten, a graduate of Princeton University and Stanford Law School, worked for the United States Trade Representative and as White House advisor for the first President Bush. During the Clinton Administration, he worked for Goldman Sachs in London.
