Seattle Gets $6M from Federal Government for Energy Savings

Seattle will receive $6 million from the federal government for energy'saving programs.
Awarded based on population, the grant was part of an effort by the U.S. Conference of Mayors to obtain federal support for spending by cities, states and counties on energy'efficiency. Mayor Greg Nickels is vice president of the conference.
The city has set up a Web page (recovery.seattle.gov) to track stimulus money coming to Seattle.
