Recently at the Susan B. Katz Theater of the Performing Arts in Pembroke Pines, FL, Mayor Frank Ortis hosted his own version of the popular television game show Can We Make a Deal? The mayor was a dashing tuxedoed host of his own version of the show Deal or No Deal. The event raised $25,000 for Here’s Help, a substance abuse program for youngsters 13 years and older.

Founded in 1968, Here’s Help is a residential facility for teenagers who have had drug'related and alcohol scrapes with the law, minimal drug or alcohol abuse problems and mental health disorders. The program serves about 800 teenagers annually. Services include inpatient residential care, outpatient help, counseling therapy and drug testing.

Ortis previously hosted the show last October for a Pembroke Pines Charter School fundraiser.
