Join Virtual Roundtable on Recycling Construction, Demolition Debris: April 7
By Jubi Headley
March 28, 2011
No PowerPoint presentations, no lectures, just interactive dialogue. Join us at 2:00pm on April 7 for this “closed door” session where you and your public sector colleagues from other cities can talk openly about the challenges you face in executing successful construction demolition and debris recycling initiatives in your community.
We’ll cover questions you may have about launching a construction and demolition debris recycling program, such as what’s included in construction and demolition debris, in terms of materials; whether it’s better to handle your commercial collection together or separately from your municipal residential; and typical diversion rates for communities that that already have construction and demolition debris recycling programs in place.
And for those of you who’ve already launched successful programs, you can share your experiences and offer helpful advice to those who are just starting out.
Registration for this session is free of charge but is open only to municipal employees. To register for this session, visit the Municipal Waste Management Association (MWMA) website at www.usmayors.org/mwma.
MWMA, the environmental affiliate of The United States Conference of Mayors, is a national membership association, representing solid waste directors, environmental commissioners, and other municipal solid waste decision makers from major cities, counties, and other local and regional public authorities and agencies across the country. Formed in 1982, our mission is to impact policy, share best practices, promote operational efficiencies, and provide information on innovations in the delivery of integrated waste management services.
