Conference of Mayors Vice-President Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Conference of Mayors Executive Director and CEO Tom Cochran spoke to the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association at their annual board meeting, January 20-21 in St. Petersburg, FL. Both Mayor Diaz and Mr. Cochran spoke of the inclusion of travel and tourism in the Mayors’ 10-Point Action Plan and the need for the two organizations to work together.

Conference of Mayors President Trenton Mayor Douglas H. Palmer, addressed members of the International Franchise Association at their annual meeting, February 10 in Orlando, (FL.) Mayor Palmer addressed the Board of Directors on the Mayors’ 10-Point Action Plan. He also participated in a Diversity Summit during the meeting where he addressed ways cities can assist in promoting minority franchises opportunities. The Mayor also discussed ways that the two organizations might better work together in the future.
