Mayors’ National Forum on Education

Confirmed Keynote Speakers:

• U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan

• Congressman Chaka Fattah (PA)

• U.S. Senator Michael Bennet (Former Superintendent of Denver Public Schools)

• New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg

The Forum will provide an opportunity for mayors to dialogue with Secretary Duncan and other Department of Education officials to discuss mayoral priorities in education. It will also present mayors with information, strategies and ideas on how to become more involved in and provide leadership to their local school systems. The Forum will cover topics such as early childhood education, high school dropout prevention and quality after'school programming.
