Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup has announced that he will not seek reelection this November. Walkup has served as mayor for 12 years, and recently helped established The U.S. Conference of Mayors Civility Accord following the tragic shootings in his city.

Dallas

Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert has resigned his office to run in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat currently being held by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, who is leaving office in 2012. Leppert was a Trustee of The U.S. Conference of Mayors. Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway will be Interim Mayor until June.
