On Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at his residence in Alexandria, VA. He is survived by one sister, Theresa Carstens of Milwaukee, WI, five nephews, one niece and countless relatives and friends. Mr. Smith was the Managing Editor of USMAYOR newspaper and had a long association with The United States Conference of Mayors
The United States Conference of Mayors will hold a memorial service celebrating his life Wednesday, January 7 at the National Press Club, 529 14th St. N.W., 13th Floor, Washington, DC at 11 a.m. A reception and luncheon will follow. Contact Yvonne Dailey at ydailey@usmayors.org or 202-861-6790.
Christian services and final interment will be held at St. Sebastians Church in Milwaukee, WI.
