Description of Event: RBI Junior League championship games/ Triple A for a Day is a special event to provide RBI Austin athletes, their families, and the community with the opportunity to watch baseball in a fun and unique setting they would not normally experience. This event will celebrate community, youth, and baseball. At the conclusion of the junior league events, a special Play Ball activity will take place

Description of Event: As a precursor to the City's annual Inner City Youth Tournament, the City will hold a special ceremony in which former Mayor Daniel Brown and former minor league baseball player and City Councilman Joe Bailey will introduce Graig Nettles, Major League Baseball legend. Mr. Nettles will speak to the children in the opening ceremony and then hang around for pictures and autographs.

Description of Event: Batter Up - After the Nashville Sounds home game, each participant will have 2 swings to hit the ball from a tee as far as they can. There will be prizes for the furthest hit in three age catagories: 5-7, 8-11, 12-15.

Description of Event: America's Favorite Past Time Event The plan is to have two sites, Dover Shores Community Center and Dr. James R Smith compete in a game of baseball. The campers will too engage in a virtual game of home run derby on the Nintendo Wii and will end the day with a movie while munching on hot dogs, popcorn and salty pretzels.

Description of Event: Join us for bubble gum, cracker jacks and a catch on Thursday June 9th from 6:30pm-8:00pm behind Town Hall in Frieberger Park to participate in our 1st Play Ball! Event – “Summer Catch with the Mayor and Township Committee.” The event will kick off our commitment to promote the sports of baseball and softball in the Township of Union. Representatives from and information on our youth baseball and softball programs will be available.
