Solid waste and environmental officials from cities and
states across the country recently convened in Lexington, KY for the 2012
Municipal Waste Management Association (MWMA) Fall Summit. The Fall Summit, held this year from September
11-13, convenes public sector leaders with private sector executives to discuss
trends, emerging technologies and best practices in zero waste, illegal dumping
code enforcement, tracking and route mapping technologies, and other issues. “The MWMA Fall Summit is probably one of the
most important meetings I attend all year,” says Chris Gonaver, Director of
Environmental Services for the City of San Diego.
