The application deadline for the 2012 Cans for CashTM City Recycling Challenge is now closed -  Winners to be Announced June 13th during the 80th Annual Conference of Mayors in Orlando

Sponsored by The United States Conference of Mayors and Novelis Inc., Cans for CashTM promotes aluminum beverage can recycling in cities. There are two competition categories – Most Cans Collected, and Most Innovative Ideas. The top prize is now $25,000 for first place each category – more than FIVE TIMES the cash award given to any single city in previous years.  Second place winners in each category will receive $15,000, and third place winners will receive $5,000.
