An Investment in America.

The Federal Government has left cities behind and now is the time to act. With the change that voters are demanding in the upcoming election in November, Conference President Miami Mayor Manuel A. Diaz and The United States Conference of Mayors launched this past summer a five city tour to discuss five priorities for a new administration.

The Mayors '08 Action Forum Reports

After the five-city tour, the United States Conference of Mayors put together reports for each of the forums. Read the following available reports:

Mayors at the Democratic and Republican Conventions

The United States Conference of Mayors hosted events at both the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado and the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. During the Democratic Convention, mayors hosted a press conference to talk about crime.

Kicking off the Forums at the National Press Club

Conference President Miami Mayor Manuel A. Diaz addressed the National Press Club on August 4 calling for an investment in American cities. Watch the speech below.
