Mayors Climate Protection Center
"The Town of Greenburgh is proud to support this cooperative effort. The climate crisis is so large and urgent that it will take all of us, pulling together, to make even a dent in greenhouse gas emissions and slow down the effects already in motion. We are proud of the proactive steps we have already taken, such as requiring that all new homes be built to Energy Star standards and installing energy efficient lighting and a solar electric system at Town Hall; but this is just a start. There is no more important focus for a community now. The good news is that this is also a terrific opportunity to shift course and take actions that will have other environmental, economic, and public health benefits."
