The Clean Air Mayors program developed though a cooperative agreement between the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Conference of Mayors for the purpose of equipping Mayors with the tools and knowledge to tackle air quality issues more effectively. Through outreach, technical support and timely policy analysis, Clean Air Mayors endeavors to provide Mayors and their communities with the resources they need to achieve the shared goals of clean air and improved quality of life for their citizens.
Clean Air Mayors products and services include regular contributions to U.S. Mayor, the bi-weekly newspaper of the U.S. Conference of Mayors; Clean Air Mayors, a quarterly newsletter dedicated to air quality issues; and regular website updates of new legislative and regulatory information. In addition, USCM members will soon be able to join a Clean Air listserv and access databases of local air quality-related best practices and government air quality professionals. |
